About Us
Ruth’s Restoration Place is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a mission to provide a safe, supportive, and healing transitional home for up to 10 women who are ready to rebuild their lives and regain independence.

Women may stay for 12 to 24 months as they transition into more stable, permanent living situations. We recognize that every woman arrives with a unique story — some may already have education, job experience, or community ties, while others may be starting from scratch. No matter where they are in their journey, each woman will be met with dignity, grace, and personalized support.
During their stay, residents will be encouraged to participate in structured programs and guided toward local resources that support their emotional, spiritual, and practical growth. In a story reported recently by Berkley Brean with Channel 10 News, it said "This count is only a snapshot of the homeless in the area, but it shows a trend. In January 2019, they counted 35 people. In January 2023, they counted 42. In January of last year, they counted 80. A report last week by the Office of the New York State Comptroller says the number of homeless in Rochester, Irondequoit, and Greece is 1,056."

By January 2023, that number rose to 42, and by the following year, it more than doubled to 80. According to the Office of the New York State Comptroller, over 1,000 individuals — including many women — are currently unhoused in Rochester, Irondequoit, and Greece. The causes are varied, but the need is urgent for compassionate, restorative housing remains.

We believe all women can embrace who they are,
can define their future, and can change the world.
Our Mission
Ruth’s Restoration House is a 501c3 organization dedicated to offer support and the opportunity to assist in rebuilding lives for women who are being challenged while recovering from drug/alcohol addiction, abuse, incarceration and other types of traumas. This setting is a transitional housing environment where the women will be encouraged to embrace the healing that will bring value to them – emotionally, mentally, physically, and spiritually. Our goal is to provide the skills necessary to become more self-sufficient in a defined timely manner.

Our Vision
To educate, empower and assist the women with stability and define the proper skills to enable them to build and restore their lives so they may have the chance to restart their life again.
